The battery of my phone has just gotten worse.  I leave home with a fully-charged phone and the battery dies before I even get back home from work.  The more annoying thing about it is that the battery is not user-replaceable so I can’t buy a spare battery for it.

My employer couldn’t even give me the right information regarding my prescription plan.  Not to mention, it’s one of the crappiest prescription plans out there.  I just learned that I have a $50 annual deductible.  Co-pays are ridiculously high, too.

I can’t seem to find my card reader.  That is why I still haven’t been able to post my trip log from our Cozumel vacation.  I refuse to buy a new one, so I will continue on my search…

I missed WTF Wednesday, so I’m doing it today!

• There’s a winter storm warning all over the Northeast and I have a lot of things to do this weekend.  I’m set to go to Boston tomorrow after work.  Then the day after that, we’re going to Newport to do some wedding errands.

• My phone has been freezing more often than before.  Most of the time, I had to switch it on and off to work again.  AT&T Wifi no longer works with my phone for some reason.  It never directs me that AT&T Wifi sign in page anymore.  The browser couldn’t just open anything.

• I recently came across my dream venue - Rosecliff Mansion in Newport RI.  It’s gorgeous!

  
  

I inquired about it and here’s where the WTF comes in.  To rent the place for a May Saturday wedding will cost $12,000!  And that does not include anything.  Things that are usually included with venue rentals like tables and chairs, personnel, preparation and clean-up are not included in the $12,000 I mentioned.  If you want to get married on a Saturday in the Summer, it will set you back $15,000, again with nothing included except the use of the place.  That is why Rosecliff Mansion is gonna remain a dream venue for me.

I always hear that Apple makes better products. Well, I have the iPhone and I’m not very impressed. It has a lot of bugs!

The Safari on my phone keeps crashing.

I was on a call once, and all of a sudden, the call went on speakerphone and the screen went blank. I had to reboot the phone for it to function again.

When I get out of subway stations, it takes minutes for my iPhone to get a signal. My previous phones took less than a minute.

At times, I get no service for no reason and I had to reboot the phone to get a signal again.

I received a text from Apple that the wall adapter that came with the iPhone 3G is defective. Apple will replace the defective adapter for free, but not until October 10 onwards. Click here for more info.

I love the store. Their clothes are cute and cheap, but their return policy sucks! I was about to pay for my purchases when I noticed the return policy on the counter. They do not refund the money, you get store credit. The only way you get your money back is when you purchased online and returned it by mail. Of course you have to pay for return shipping.

Earphones in public

Everytime I take the subway, I always find someone with earphones stuck to his/her ears. He/she is listening to music alright. I can even probably tell you the title of the songs. I don’t get why some people bother to use earphones when they crank up the volume disturbing everybody around them anyway. It’s also a bit rude. And don’t they realize it’s not good for their ears?

Toilet seats

I’m so tired of women complaining about men not putting down the toilet seat after they tinkle. If women complain about that, why don’t they put the toilet seat up for the men? Maybe women should focus their complaining more on how the “bad aim-ers” tinkle all over the toilet and not wipe the toilet afterwards. Why don’t I hear more of that?

I’ve been complaining about our internet service with RCN.  So I finally decided to move to a different company – Time Warner Cable.  I thought everything will be better… not really.  Time Warner internet speed is slower than that of RCN.  There’s a difference of almost 300 KB/s in download speed and 3 KB/s in upload speed.  The connection is still fast, but I was aiming to sort of upgrade when I change services.

I finally have cable TV though.  I’ve never subscribed to cable TV before coz I don’t watch much TV.  I only need the regular (broadcast) channels.  I still don’t need the other channels.  But after getting my TV for the basement, the broadcast channels weren’t clear.

I am a crybaby, I admit.  I cry at movies and touching situations.  But I can’t stand people who cry over something that they can easily solve or do something about.  A patient needed something insurance-related so I told her to call her insurance.  Because I couldn’t give her what she wanted and she was having a hard time getting it, she had to cry.  What did she want me to do?  Call her insurance myself?  That wouldn’t even help because I’m not authorized to talk to her insurance regarding her account.

I was in the subway standing.  One seat freed up and I took it.  I noticed one of the passengers standing was trying to take it as well, but she was farther to the empty seat than I was.  She was older so I offered her the seat.  She just looked at me and didn’t even say thank you.  Then we arrived at the next station and she stood up and got out.  Geez!

I was browsing through my Discover Card account online and for the first time, I clicked on ShopDiscover and discovered that I could have at least 5% cashback on a lot of the purchases I made online.  I just recently purchased a laptop from HPShopping.com using my Discover card and I just found out a few minutes ago, that if you click on the HP link from ShopDiscover, I could have gotten 5% cashback!  That’s almost $60!  Well, now I know.

So for all of you, Discover card holders, if you’re shopping online, log in to your Discover card account first and check.  You can get 5% to 20% cashback.  Participating online retailers include Apple, Barnes and Noble, Circuit City, Oriental Trading, Overstock, Walmart, Zappos.  If you don’t have an online account set up yet, go register now!

I have gained weight and a couple of my very old pants don’t fit anymore.  I’ve always been a slacker when it comes to working out.  Add that to my appetite and my weight is bound to suffer.  I guess I really have to get my butt out of this chair and have a little discipline.

I just found out that Discover card doesn’t allow different shipping and billing address when ordering online.  This is pretty annoying if you want to buy a gift for someone.  I had to use my Mastercard, but I’ve always used my Discover card for everything.

I just enrolled to Premium Transitcheck (unlimited Metrocard valid for 1 year) and now MTA is raising it from $76 to $81 a month.

I called my doctor’s office several times to see if my results were in.  I didn’t even ask to know what the results say, I just wanted to know if they came in and they couldn’t even tell me that.  They told me they were very busy and they will have to call me back.  They didn’t call me back until the third day I’ve been leaving messages.

I’m looking to book a few tours and shuttle transfers for our Cabo trip with TransCabo.com since it was recommended by a few CSL forum members.

I emailed Transcabo for more information about their tours.  I didn’t get a response.  I went to their website to see how much the tours cost so I filled out the form to see the total.  I wasn’t ready to book at the time, so I didn’t continue to book it.  I received an email right away reminding me about the form I filled out and if I wanted to go ahead and book it.  I emailed them back with the questions I had earlier, but I again didn’t receive a response.

Today, I decided to book the shuttle transfers.  I proceeded to pay by clicking on their Paypal button.  I logged in to my Paypal and after I clicked “PAY”, I got this error instead.

I tried to call their US toll-free number, but I couldn’t go through.  An automated message says my balance is too low.  Huh?  What balance?  I was using my landline and cellphone.

Anyway, I tried Paypal again using funds from my bank account instead of credit card and that went through.  I don’t get it why a company such as TransCabo cannot or won’t accept credit-card-funded Paypal payment.

A few days ago, I started receiving spam trackbacks on this blog.  It is very annoying coz it seems that I’m receiving at least one a day and Akismet (spam protection) included with the Wordpress software can’t seem to catch them.  Recommend any plugins?

I just lost two opportunities today.  There were two sponsored post opportunities today that I started writing about.  They were topics that I had a lot to say about.  Since I kept getting distracted while writing them, when I clicked Submit to submit my post, the opportunities were gone .
