On the 4th day of Christmas… Netflix mobile app

I’ve loved Netflix since my husband has been a subscriber.  But I now love it even more since they came up with an iPhone app.  I’ve been watching some of my favorite TV shows on my phone while I’m out and bored.

On the 3rd day of Christmas… Silhouette SD

I think every crafter should have a Silhouette SD.  It looks like a printer, but it’s a cutting machine.  Unlike other similar machines, there are no cartridges.  You can use TrueType fonts on your computer.  You can purchase designs online one by one for cheap.  If you don’t want to spend, you can create your own!

You can read a review on the machine at one of my favorite blogs, Giver’s Log.  Happy crafting!

On the 2nd day of Christmas… Dyson DC25 Ball Vacuum

If you’re getting married, register for a Dyson DC25. At first, I didn’t want to get a Dyson coz of the price. But my husband gave me the DC25 for a gift and I love it!

It’s surprisingly very maneuverable despite its heavy weight.  Suction is great.  I love how easy it is to empty the bin.  The wand is very easy to pull, just flick and pull.  However, the wand can be awkward to use it.  I love how the basic attachments are right there clipped to the vacuum. Easy access and not very easy to lose.

I find the buttons for floor/carpet option weird.  I don’t know why they have separate buttons for the main on/off and the brush on/off. Everytime you switch the vacuum on, it automatically switches the brush on too. So you have to switch the brush off every time you’re vacuuming hard floors. That’s one more unnecessary button to push. Why can’t one button be for hard floor and one button for carpet? Simple. It’s hard to see whether the brush is on or off. The brush button doesn’t really submerge much, I had to stare at the brush itself to see if it’s on.

The vacuum is not cheap, but I think it’s still worth it.  I love my Dyson DC25, but it doesn’t mean I love all Dysons.  My mom has the Dyson DC24.  I like how light and small it is, but the suction is not as good.

On the 1st day of Christmas… Groupon

Groupon offers huge discounts on goods, services and more in most major cities.  There’s usually a deal every day. The deals are only available for 24 hours and it only gets activated after a minimum number of people purchase the deal.

Groupon has become a favorite thing because of the huge deals and their great customer service.  I bought two spa vouchers (worth $260) for $100, but the salon couldn’t accommodate my second voucher because they were fully booked.  I called Groupon and they offered to either make an arrangement with the salon or refund me the money.  I asked for a refund and I got the refund quickly.

12 Days of Christmas = 12 Favorite Things

Each day starting December 12 for 12 days, I will be posting an item or service that I came across this year and became one of my favorite things.  These items or services will either be related to wedding, craft, design, or saving.  It may be pretty similar to Oprah’s favorite things, but there’s a BIG difference.  I have nothing to give away :P .  But hopefully you’ll still enjoy knowing about them, and hopefully they become one of your favorite things as well.

If you have a favorite thing/s that you want to share, please feel free to leave a comment or contact me.  My readers and I love hearing about new things.
