The feeling of sand between your toes, the sound of the waves, the flutter created by the wind, the playful color of the sunset reflected by the sea… Alexander and Josh’s wedding… these are why I love beach weddings. Alexander and Josh’s wedding is an absolute inspiration. Don’t you just love the sunset? And all the beautiful things about the wedding including the handsome couple were wonderfully captured on (digital) film by Vue Photography.

Real Inspiration: Clambake on the Cape
Where else to hold a clambake but on the Cape? Alyssa and Scott’s rehearsal dinner was held at the Chatham Bars Inn. The beach house, the smell of the ocean, the lobster lollipops, the seashell-adorned centerpieces and favors, even the beachy blue chairs make for a beautiful clambake party. Photos were taken by one of my favorite photography teams, Brian and Maria.

Inspiration Board #18: White + Aqua

Real Inspiration: Southern Chic
It’s a delight to feature the wedding of The Budget Savvy Bride, Jessica. I thought it would be great to add a little “spring” to our Winter, and Jessica and Eric’s wedding is perfect to do just that. Her color scheme creates a very bright and cheerful combination. Jessica was on a budget and her wedding is proof that a fabulous wedding does not have to be expensive. And of course, being a talented graphic designer, her wedding stationery came out beautiful. Real Inspiration: Preppy June Wedding
Erin and Nic’s wedding is one of my inspirations for my own wedding. The bright color combination of navy, yellow and white makes this wedding so much fun to look at… and to be in as well I bet! Don’t you just love Erin’s smile? By the way, she’s my event coordinator at Belle Mer! Photos were taken by one of my favorite photographers, Kristin Spencer.

Bridesmaids in different shades of blue
Since the beginning, I’ve always wanted my bridesmaids to choose their own dresses, as long as they’re navy blue. But I’ve seen many bridal parties now sporting different colors or different shades of a certain color. And I’m liking it.

The problem with my bridal party is that I only have 2 bridesmaids and the impact won’t be as beautiful as those above. So I’m still trying to decide whether I’ll have them wear same shade or not.
