Inspiration and Decor
Engaged: Going vintage on the beach
Real Inspiration: Getting Maui’d at the Mill
You have seen the gorgeous Haiku Mill in my previous post. And now here’s a real wedding to inspire you more. Natalie and Lou got Maui’d at the Mill. The rustic charm of the venue is just perfect to set the mood for their beautiful vintage weddng. Photography by Visionari.

Get Inspired: Haiku Mill Maui
Select Hawaii vendors have teamed up to create this beautiful photo shoot at Haiku Mill in Maui. The place adds a rustic touch to the tropical ambiance of Maui. Just beautiful. Stay tuned for a real wedding at this beautiful venue. Photos were taken by Kevin Chin.

Head to Green Wedding Shoes for more inspiration and the list of participating vendors.
Real Inspiration: Hacienda Wedding
Daniela and Alejandra’s wedding at Hacienda Chichi Suarez on the Yucatan just speaks pure elegance. The beautiful and very colorful flowers complement the beauty of the place. Scroll down and let the photos speak for themselves. Photos were taken by talented Mexico-based photographer, Elizabeth Medina.

Trash The Dress: Tiffany & Ly in Cancun
New Yorkers Tiffany and Ly headed to CasaMagna Marriott in Cancun Mexico to get married. Being already in Cancun, they of course chose to do a trash-the-dress session Cancun style. They drove to Tulum for a very sexy photo shoot. They looked like professional models, don’t they? These gorgeous photos were taken by Furious Photographers.

Real Inspiration: Seaside Inspired Love Affair
Kaite and Jordan’s wedding is the ultimate seaside inspiration. Every little detail just screams seaside chic. The couple fell in-love on the beaches in the Hamptons. So for their wedding, a Hampton-inspired theme is just fitting. Amorology has made this event a true Hampton affair. Just look at the “beside the seaside” photobooth set-up. It’s the best set-up I have ever seen to date. Wedding images taken by Amelia Lyon Photography and photobooth images by The Digital Orange.

DIY: Tissue Pomander Centerpieces
In the beginning, I was planning to DIY my centerpieces. Recently, our plans changed and decided to hire a florist instead. But I totally forgot to show you the mock-up I did when I was still planning to DIY the centerpieces. So here they are…

Click here for instructions @ Project Wedding
Cost Breakdown:
Tissue paper = free (I have in stock – yes I do have that many)
2 3″ styrofoam balls ($2.88/6) = $0.96
2 4″ styrofoam balls ($3.52/4) = $1.76
1 7″ candelabra = $9.99 – 20% discount
1 9″ candelabra = $12.99 – 20% discount
table letter = $1.99
TOTAL (per table) = $12.70-$22.69 + tax
I loved making the tissue pomanders. And now that I have tissue pomanders lying around, I decided to use them during the cocktail hour.
Centerpieces: Jars, Cans, and Potted Plants
I don’t want to spend much on our rehearsal dinner. But I still want our table to be pretty. So after scouring the internet for beautiful centerpieces, I found recycled mason jars and cans. They’re beautiful and free (from my own collection)!
Cans

Mason Jars

Then I saw these pretty potted plants. They’re eco-friendly, people can take them home and they last for weeks, if not months. They can also be more affordable than freshly-cut flowers.

If only…
If only I just started planning my wedding and I haven’t picked out my colors yet, the colors in this inspiration board by Ami of Elizabeth Anne Designs will definitely be my colors. I went to Elizabeth Anne Designs blog for my daily visit and saw this beautiful board. It was love at first sight. It would be perfect for a seaside wedding.
Real Inspiration: Sea, Sand and Sunset
The feeling of sand between your toes, the sound of the waves, the flutter created by the wind, the playful color of the sunset reflected by the sea… Alexander and Josh’s wedding… these are why I love beach weddings. Alexander and Josh’s wedding is an absolute inspiration. Don’t you just love the sunset? And all the beautiful things about the wedding including the handsome couple were wonderfully captured on (digital) film by Vue Photography.
