I work on both PC and Mac (PC most of the time). With Apple Boot Camp, I am able to reap the benefits of both. I want to have my cake and eat it too

On the 4th day of Christmas… Netflix mobile app
I’ve loved Netflix since my husband has been a subscriber. But I now love it even more since they came up with an iPhone app. I’ve been watching some of my favorite TV shows on my phone while I’m out and bored.

Kindle 2 has arrived!
Calling all book-lovers, the new Kindle – Kindle 2 will be available at Amazon.com end of this month. You can also pre-order today.
With a sleek and thin design that makes Kindle 2 as thin as a typical magazine and lighter than a paperpack, the new Kindle has seven times more storage and now holds over 1,500 books. It has a longer battery life and faster page turns. An advanced display provides even crisper images and clearer text for an improved book-like reading experience. And Kindle 2 even reads to you, with “Read to Me”, our new Text to Speech feature.
Of course the new Kindle still holds the features the old one has: the convenience of reading what you want, when you want it,the immediacy of getting a book wirelessly delivered in less than 60 seconds.
WordPress iPhone app
I don’t know why I never looked for it before, but I’m so excited I found the WordPress iPhone app. It’s a lot easier than going through the iPhone’s Safari browser to blog. You can easily add photos too, straight from the phone’s camera or photo library.

Shutter sounds to be mandated on phone cameras

Photo from SuperStock
A new bill has been introduced this year to require cellphone cameras to make a sound when taking photos. The bill will also prohibit the cellphones to have the feature to disable or silence the sound. The requirement will be considered a consumer product safety standard.
I take photos often with my phone especially when I shop. I don’t like attracting attention to myself, so sometimes I silence my phone. The shutter sound also annoys me a little bit. But if this bill gets passed, I’ll be fine with it. This bill will hopefully provide more safety and privacy to the public (e.g. from creeps who take photos for their personal satisfaction). I wonder if Apple will create a new update of the iPhone OS to disable silencing of the shutter sound.
Do you use your phone’s camera? Do you silence it or do you keep the shutter sound on? What do you think of the proposed bill?
Fuji Instax Camera for your photo guestbook
Since Polaroid is almost out the door, why not try the Fuji Instax Camera for your photo guestbook? The film is cheaper too!
It is more personal and fun to have your guests’ photos on your guestbook than the traditional “sign your name” ones. Add a Fuji Instax Camera or two on your guestbook table and you have created a more fun way for your guests to leave their mark at your wedding.
There are more ways to do photo guestbooks now. Photobooths are my favorite, but they can be pretty expensive. You can DIY your photobooth too, but it would need more work (setting up) and materials (camera, tripod, background, etc). Whichever method you use, your guests will surely have a memorable time
What’s new on the iPhone
Wal-mart is now selling the iPhone for $2 less than the price you pay at other retailers. Hey, it’s still cheaper. That’s one subway ride, at least at the moment.

Mint.com, the popular online finance management tool just released its first iPhone app. I haven’t tried it nor will I test it at all. I don’t really like having all my financial accounts in one place.  I think it makes for an easy target for theft.
Web browsing on phones compared
Gizmodo posted a comparison between several phones based on their 3G web browsing performance.
I was only able to try web browsing on the iPhone and G1 (Google phone). For now, I agree with Gizmodo. I find it easier to browse using the iPhone, despite its lack of basic and important features. The iPhone’s “pinch” method of zooming in and out is just clever. Click here for the full review at Gizmodo.

This is perfect for people like me who are planning to get fit at the start of the new year. If you’re like me who can’t drag themselves to the gym or think the gym is too boring, a Wii Fit would be a perfect tool to getting fit the fun way!
