Since Polaroid is almost out the door, why not try the Fuji Instax Camera for your photo guestbook? The film is cheaper too!

It is more personal and fun to have your guests’ photos on your guestbook than the traditional “sign your name” ones. Add a Fuji Instax Camera or two on your guestbook table and you have created a more fun way for your guests to leave their mark at your wedding.
There are more ways to do photo guestbooks now. Photobooths are my favorite, but they can be pretty expensive. You can DIY your photobooth too, but it would need more work (setting up) and materials (camera, tripod, background, etc). Whichever method you use, your guests will surely have a memorable time
That ring shot
I don’t know why photographers still do this type of ring shot. I don’t think it’s classy nor is it funny. Even if it uses the ring finger, it can come across differently especially at first glance. There are a lot of other ways you can pose the bride’s hand to show her ring. I’m actually contemplating on asking every photographer I will be interviewing what they think of this type of shot. I blurred the bride’s face more and I chose not to mention the photographer who took the photo.
What do you think about this ring shot?

Photography services aren’t very cheap. And with our current economy, it has become even less affordable. Just in time for the holidays, photographers have come together to help.

Turn your photos to look like miniature models
It is called Tilt-Shift Photography. With the tilt-shift technique, you can turn your real life photos to look like photos of miniature models. Here are some samples from TiltShiftPhotography.net.

Of course, you would need the right photo before creating a miniature model photo of your own. You would need a photo taken from a high point of view, just like how you would look at a miniature model. Click here for the Photoshop tutorial.

ambient lighting or not
Photographing indoors is still a challenge to me. First of all, I don’t have an external flash and I rely on the built-in flash. Most of the time, I don’t like to outcome of the pictures I used flash with. I usually like the colors that come out of the non-flash photos. However, I have to up the ISO and my subject better not be moving.

I’ll hopefully learn something when I start classes in the Spring semester. I might have to buy more equipment, but I just have to accept that I’ll be spending more this time. I need to start saving…
I’m a student again!
I’ve officially registered for Spring semester and I’m excited! Since my classes are scheduled in the evenings and I mostly do my work for Aylee Designs at night, I might lessen the orders I’ll be accepting at Aylee Designs. A couple of people told me to hire someone to handle the administrative work, but I don’t think I can afford it since there’s a lot of administrative work going on
. I have my cousin who helps me out with the designs, but I don’t expect him to do most of the administrative work.
I keep blabbing I haven’t even answered the question, “What class am I taking?” It’s Photography! Only 2 of the 10 people who voted on the poll got it right. Visual Art Management was first and Computer Animation & Interactive Media came second. I should have made it a contest
. Oh well…
Updated gallery
I finally got to change the layout of my gallery which was a mess. The new one is simpler, larger, and it finally includes a photo of me!

There’s really not much info in it since it’s just my online photo album. Of course I haven’t added the new photos yet. I still have Jared and Ashley’s wedding to upload.
