FRIDAY READ: A Mom’s Balancing Act

You may think that A Mom’s Balancing Act is for moms only based on the title alone.  It’s not.  Anyone will find the blog very useful, from reviews to coupons on everday items.  I will admit that my favorite part of the blog are the giveaways.  There’s always something new everyday!  Go on over there and see what I’m talking about for yourself.

FRIDAY READ: PhotoBookGirl.com

If you’ve hired a professional photographer before, you would know that ordering an album from a professional photographer is not the cheapest.  This is why I didn’t include an album in our wedding photography package.  I figured I could do it myself.  However, most album companies only cater to professional photographers.  So I did more research and found PhotoBookGirl.com.

PhotoBookGirl.com is a great resource for consumer photo books.  It includes reviews, a very useful comparison tool, and coupons!  It also helps that PhotoBookGirl takes beautiful photos.

Free Flash-based website from Wix.com

Do you like the Flash sites you see online and want one of your own, but don’t know how to use Flash?  Well, now you can for free at Wix.com.  I’m not a big fan of Flash websites as a lot of them are not universally accessible.  But you can do a lot of cool things (e.g. animations).

Now that our wedding is done, I decided to update our wedding website to contain mostly photos.  So I tried out Wix.  Here are screenshots of the site I created.

The Wix site editor was pretty easy to use if you’re starting from a template and you need to do basic editing.  Some actions that you need to do may not be easy to figure out sometimes.  The page manager is the part that I hate the most.  It’s hard to get to and hard to understand.  The editor also doesn’t have a media manager.  There’s no way to organize photos (for example) and if you need to use them again, you’ll have to scroll through a lot of pages if you have a lot of photos.

I need your help…

I stalk blogs for inspiration

Now that I’m getting married and a few of my friends are getting married as well, I have gone from admirer of weddings to stalker of wedding blogs.  I go through my blogroll everyday and see what’s new.

If looking for inspiration, be on the lookout not only for wedding inspiration blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Southern Weddings Mag, and Snippet and Ink, but for the following as well:

Wedding/event planners’ blogs, such as:

100 Layer Cake, Amorology, Eclatante, Details Details

Floral and event designers’ blogs, such as:

Huckleberry Karen, JL Designs, Karen Tran

Wedding photographers’ blogs, such as:

Jennifer Dery, Jennifer Skog, Jonathan Canlas, VCS Photo, Vue Photography

What are your favorite wedding blogs?  Where do you usually go for wedding inspirations?

New blog address: www.ayleebits.com

Aylee Bits has a new address!
Please update your links with the new address:

 www.ayleebits.com

I’m planning to slowly get rid of the very very very old blog address: www.gnyc.net/senseless.  The old address still works and will continue working for probably 6 more months.
