Bridesmaids in different shades of blue

Since the beginning, I’ve always wanted my bridesmaids to choose their own dresses, as long as they’re navy blue.  But I’ve seen many bridal parties now sporting different colors or different shades of a certain color.  And I’m liking it.

Non-matching bridesmaid dresses - different shades of blue

The problem with my bridal party is that I only have 2 bridesmaids and the impact won’t be as beautiful as those above.  So I’m still trying to decide whether I’ll have them wear same shade or not.

I would have them wear the same shade if there’s only 2. It would just look odd.

My cousin is doing the mismatched bridesmaids dresses and I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

I love the differnt shades of blue idea. I’m actually doing something similar to that effect. Base my color scheme off of a peacock feather with different shades of blues, purples, and possibly green(since we got carried away with choosing the bridal party). In any case… do u have a maid of honor and 2 bridesmaids?? If so, I think you can still pull of the different shades of blue that is if your maid of honor is wearing blue as well. =)

Love the idea!

I am trying to decide wether or not I should do different shades of blue as well! Im thinking im going to though but also a different style of dress for each as well!

I love the idea and I am thinking about doing this as well, just telling my bridesmaids to wear any blue dress they like. But I am kind of worried about the shades not matching well. What if three of them choose navy and the fourth chooses turquoise?? That would look weird!
