Project Bridesmaids – NYC

I can finally do something with the bridesmaid dresses I’ve collected throughout my life – donate to Project Bridesmaids.  Project Bridesmaids is a bridal event from ModernBride to benefit Planet Hope.  Donated dresses will be distributed to students for Prom 2009.

A dress donation will get you a free pass to the event featuring fashion shows, giveaways, shopping, makeovers, refreshments, and a chance to win a trip to Barbados.

Real Inspiration: Carnival Love

It’s Friday and I’m happy.  My birthday is tomorrow so I want to post something fun today.

I love it when brides think outside the box.  Courtney and Charles had one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever seen.  I would love to be a guest at their wedding.  I bet everybody had a lot of fun.  Photos were taken by Victor Sizemore of VCS Photography.

David’s Bridal Bridesmaid Dresses

I just learned of the new DB Bridal Color system, and I’m loving it.  It makes me want to be a bridesmaid at my own wedding!

David's Bridal Bridesmaid Dresses

I love both watermelon and marine colors, but I’m doing navy for my wedding, so the color marine is good.  I love the strapless dresses, so if you’re in my bridal party, these are what you’re wearing :) .

Inspiration #2: Blue + Orange

We’re set on having a nautical theme for our wedding, so I’m gonna start with blue hues of course for my inspiration boards.  Unfortunately, it can be a little hard to execute a monochromatic blue motif (e.g. there are not a lot of blue flowers).  So I will be pairing the color blue to different colors.  First up… orange.

Announcements

I decided to start posting inspiration boards.  I didn’t know how time-consuming they can be until I made my first one.  But as I was browsing through the photos I’ve collected for planning my wedding last week, I figured I might as well organize them into inspiration boards.  You will see my first installment tomorrow.

You will notice that I have added a ratings tool below each Event post, and I will continue to do so with future event posts.  I would like to ask my readers to rate the events they attended and maybe leave a comment as well to help other eaders.  I also added a link for all Upcoming Events below the Upcoming Events on the sidebar.

I have been sick since Wednesday.  And I got worse Friday.  I’m still not completely well, but I promise this blog will still be updated daily.  Yes, I try to schedule posts ahead of time.
