The Palm House at The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a gorgeous garden venue. With its glass walls and ceilings, the Palm House resembles a beautiful solarium.
The Palm House holds only one wedding at a time as it is the only reception facility available at the Botanic Garden. The Palm House itself is beautiful. It is not very spacious and can only hold up to 200. The entrance to get to the grounds looked like the lobby of an old apartment building. There was also a bit of a musty smell. For evening events during the warmer months, cocktail hour is held at the Lily Pool Terrace right outside the Palm House. A fountain is situated at the center of the terrace sandwiched between two lily pools. The Botanic Garden is open to the public until 6pm so cocktail hour is held inside the Palm House during day events.
There are several ceremony sites available at the Botanic Garden including the Rose Garden, the Cherry Esplanade, and the Japanese Garden. However, the Meadow is the only available ceremony site for day events.
The Palm House is not for us. But if you’re looking for a garden wedding, what better way to hold it than at a botanical garden?
