PROJECT: Alessandra’s program fans

My latest project was Alessandra’s program fans.  Since my custom cutter hasn’t arrived yet, I had to hand-cut all of them.  And it wasn’t easy at all.  In fact, it was the most time-consuming and hardest project I’ve ever done.

So for those who don’t have the time and patience to do such project (especially if you need several), I’d suggest not to DIY.  Click here if you want them made.  But if you want to DIY anyway, you can click here for instructions and template.

I use a different template which is easier but won’t work with MS Word.  I’ll hopefully be able to get custom dies in a couple of weeks that will allow me to accept orders again.

Hi everyone!

I cannot seem to downloa the template fans for Word. I have the 2007 version and it keeps saying that this file is corrupt, and it will not repair it. Can anyone email the template to me? I would like to give it a go as I have volunteered to help a friend of mine whose tying the knot in June 2008.

I made the fan, but was under the impression that the parts moved. I had to made six panels and used 3/16 eyelets. The parts do not move. Does someone know how to make the parts move?

Try punching it a little lighter. It might be trial and error until you get it the way you want it. I remember somebody asked me the same question using Crop-A-Dile and then she realized she had the Crop-A-Dile in the wrong setting.

I’m sorry to keep bugging you. :-/ I was attempting to make the fans myself but there’s just so much to still get done. I need 200 fans for August 8th (25 days). Is it too late to inquire how much this would cost me?

Hi Aylee,

I think your fans look stunning and I was hoping to create them for my wedding however I really do want them to look proffessional. I was wondering how much do you charge to create say 40 programs. I guess nmore importantly how long would it take as I live in Sydney Australia and my wedding is on 21st November. So it’s probably not possible but just thought I’d ask.

Can you give a price quote for 400 programs with blank ink? Do you have any suggestions for how to cut them with straight lines if I DIY? I was thinking of using a cricut cutter but am not sure what template is the best one to use…suggestions??
