the age thing

Here in the US, it is BAD to ask people their age.  Usually Americans don’t like revealing their ages.  In comedy shows or movies, you often find the characters lie about their ages when asked.  They usually say something lower or younger… which I think is stupid.

If you say an age younger than your real one, don’t you think you’re running a greater risk of people thinking you look bad – older than your age… coz you’re really older than what you said?  What is worse… people thinking you look bad for your age or you look good for your age?  So just be honest, trust me.
