Yes, we do shop on Black Friday. While some people stay in line way before the store opens to be one of the first few to grab the hottest items that happen to be cheap enough, we don’t. Sorry for the running sentence. First, I don’t wanna wake up and stay up that early. Second, we haven’t found deals that are worth it… yet. Don’t get me wrong, we did stay in line (to pay).
- 5:00 AM:Â Arrived at Best Buy but the line was 4 blocks long, so we left.
- 6:00 AM: Arrived at Staples and got a 1GB flash drive, 2 1GB RAM, 1 2GB CF, 2 McAfee; savings $340
- 9:00 AM:Â Arrived at OfficeMax and got a 2GB flash drive and a 1GB XD; savings $85
- 9:30 AM: Arrived at Microcenter and got a desktop; savings $300
- 11:30 AM: Arrived at Circuit City but didn’t get any
- 8:00 AM: (next day) Went back to Best Buy and got graphics card; savings $106
About 4-hour wait = $831 savings (based on regular price)
