thanx so much for compiling this list of cherry blossom items!!! i AM infatuated with them also, and i’m trying to make it the theme of my wedding as well. i’ve found a lot of these same items in my research, but apparently you’ve found more than i have! question: did you buy the beaded cherry blossom branches from whiteaisle? the ones from your reception don’t look the branches in the whiteaisle picture. i’m thinking of making them myself if i can’t get the ones in their picture. thanx again!

Hello, I see that you love cherry blossoms and so do I! I am also doing a Cherry Blossom themed wedding. Your site has give me tons of ideas. I wanted to show you this site. It is Do It Yourself Templates for Wedding Invitations. Here is the link:

If you scroll all the way down, you see the “Christine” template that has Cherry Blossoms. You buy the template and then personalize it yourself. The margins are already set up and then you print them out and then cut them. My printer at home sucks so I think you probably can save it on a disk and bring it to Kinko’s and have them print it out on some nice card stock and they will even cut it for you. I am probably going to go this route. It will be really cheap to buy some card stock and envelopes at Micheal’s or some other craft store. I might even punch a little hole at the top and put a cute little ribbon on top. Anyways, thanks again for all the links and ideas!

I love cherry blossoms and have them in my bio as well (knot name: safarigirl). I made my own chopsticks and fans with cherryblossoms. It was pretty easy and instructions are in my bio for anyone who wants to do it. Thanks for all the great cherry blossom info.

I love this site, it has been so helpful! I am doing a cherry blossom wedding as well. As an added touch in the bathroom I’m going to put Bath and Body Works AntiBacterial Hand Soap. They have a cherry blossom fragrance. It would also be nice to put a hand lotion and spray in there too. If you wait for a sale you can get it relatively cheap. I’m not going to put any in the men’s room, I dont think they would appreciate it as much! Hope this helps!

Well, I got married and had a litte cherry blossom theme a bit going through my wedding. I was really unhappy with my cake design though. It was supposed to be Cherry Blossoms, but i think it looks NOTHING like Cherry Blossom and was VERY DISAPPOINTED. Ohe well, what can you do. Here is the link to some of my pics on shutterfly.

Wow! Wish you were around when I had my wedding in 2006. It was a cherry blossom theme (pink/brown). At that time, cherry blossoms weren’t that popular so I had a hard time finding stuff that had cherry blossoms on it. Then of course, right after our honeymoon, a burst of cherry blossom products became available. Good like with your wedding. It looks like it’s going to be beautiful.

My wedding is a year away and i love cherry blossoms. So it only makes sense that it would be my theme. But my problem is that how do i pull that off without it making it seem Asian. But more like a Garden.

This is my wedding theme too and my wedding is in sept.

I want it the same way and well, i’m thinking, don’t buy “stereotypical” Asian items with cherry blossoms on them. Just simple stuff like candles or mints with out making it too asian.

ps – those things like fortune cookies with cherry blossoms on them really rile me up. Fortune cookies are CHINESE while the cherry blossom is Japanese… who ever though of that really didn’t know anything about the cherry blossom. It’s kind of insulting…

I’m looking for an elegant Cherry Blossom wedding invitation that used to be sold by a company called Invitation Kitchen. The invite measured 5″ x 7″ and had an outline of cherry blossoms in the lower right-hand corner, with a ribbon and a colored backing behind it. The image displayed was lavender and brown, though it also came in blue and brown, my wedding colors. Does anyone know how I can track down this invitation or the compnay?

Hey Schutzy – we originally wanted a spring wedding, but were married in July. I had already had my heart set on the cherry blossoms and the colour scheme. For all my “dramatic” floral arrangements around the card box, guest book, gift table, etc – we used silk cherry blossoms in light pink and fuschia and mixed in some pretty plum blossoms, bells of Ireland and dried flowers. Every time Michael’s had a 50% off flowers sale – we went in and bought some. I’ll put a link up here to a photo of ours – if Aylee will allow it. We used French flower market buckets and painted them bright greens. Good luck with your cherry blossom hunting!

I know http://www.wholeblossoms.com is selling wreaths at this time of year and had one that reminded me of the cherry blossoms wreath above. Or you can go to your local Michael’s store and buy the wreath and blossoms for a DIY project.

Pier 1 sells white artifical Cherry Blossoms in a silver vase for $30 and white srtifical Cherry Blossom stems for $12 each. I drooled over them when I worked there and I still want them! They usually have a sale on them around this time of year and definitely around the spring. They usually go down to about $8 – $10 each and the vase can go from anywhere to $20 – $25. They even have Cherry Blossom dinner ware there, too, that I have my eye on. Waiting for the dinning sale. =)
