what has happened

I just noticed I haven’t been posting about my life for the past several days.  This blog is starting to stray away from its original concept - a personal online journal.  But probably a lot closer to its title – senseless…  So here are some highlights from my week… for those who are interested.  More details after the jump.

Went to Boston last weekend.  Attended a barbecue and had a good laugh at John’s expense .

More features for my blog whoohoo!

I was finally able to get a break and went to Boston last weekend, after being stuck at home for two months.  On my way to Boston, I made a list of food places I wanted to go to: Nud Pob, Teriyaki House, Mike’s Pastry Shop, Bugaboo Creek.  I probably didn’t need a list, John already knew.  I’m so predictable when it comes to food.  I wasn’t able to go to Bugaboo Creek, but the barbecue at Toru and Leslie’s place filled me up pretty well.  Funny thing happened at the barbecue…

Aska, Toru and Leslie’s cute 4-yr old daughter wanted some brownies and asked Mark if he could get some for her.  Mark told Aska to ask her mom first if she could have some.  Leslie told her she could have a smoothie.  So Aska ran back to Mark and asked for a smoothie.  Mark asked what type of smoothie she wanted and she yelled “PINK!” then pointed at John’s shirt.  John, who hates the idea of wearing pink, blurted out in defense, “It’s faded red.”  I couldn’t contain myself and burst out laughing.  John faced me and said in a very commanding voice, “We’re throwing this out.”

I finally downloaded Firefox coz a lot of my readers use Firefox, and learned that a lot of my web pages don’t look the way I wanted them to be.  I was able to fix the menus of this blog a little.  It still needs a lot of fixing tho.  I have to fix [g]allery too, but I’m too lazy.  I’d probably change the whole layout again.  Anyone willing to help me or give a tutorial?

Zaraa has joined me and agreed to contribute to my blog, particularly the bookmark and munch categories.  I can’t cook so can’t really contribute to the munch category.  I do read books, but Zaraa has a lot more interesting reads, so she’s the only author you’ll probably see in the bookmark category.

I added more plugins/features to this blog including comment notification/subscription, comments editable by their authors, more sophisticated search results.
